Spring is here and so are the new units in the Shoulder Blade Complex. The first 18 units in the Complex are complete and move in by new residents is 78% complete. Please hurry and get your completed application submitted as soon as possible to get your keys to a new apartment. If you miss out on the first 18 apartments then you will be placed on a waiting list for the next 16 apartments that will become available starting in July of this year (2010). (more…)

HOMEBUYER EDUCATION CLASS A SUCCESS

The Northern Cheyenne Tribal Housing Authority sponsored a Homebuyer Education Class on April 17, 2010 and it was a huge success!!!  I had 13 participants sign up but only 12 attended all day on this beautiful Spring Day. The weather was very nice and the participants choose to come and learn all about the Homeownership process.  Helen Shaw, a Realtor out of Colstrip was here doing a presentation on her process that she goes through when selling property.  I also had Jose Jimeriez from Great Falls, MT doing a presentation on Credit Management.  Some of the questions I asked the participants were as follows:

Why do you want to buy a home?

1 marked Control over environment

6 marked Safe place to raise a family

Where are you in the Home buying Process?

11 marked just started thinking about it.

On April 12, 2010, President Leroy Spang, Vice-President Joe Fox Jr, Members of the Tribal Council, NCTHA Board of Commissioners, NCTHA Staff along with several State and Federal dignitaries took part in a Ribbon-Cutting ceremony at the West Entrance to the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. The nature of this ceremony was to unveil the new Tribal Welcome Sign(s) located on Highway 212. (more…)
