Tribal Housing Employee Receives Prestigious NAIHC Certification

Northern Cheyenne Tribal Housing Authority Employee, Colleen Spang, receives her certification through NAIHC as a Certified Professional Indian Housing Manager.

On May 26, 2010, before a crowd of over 500 Housing Professionals from all over Indian Country, Colleen Spang, Acquisitions Division Manager for the NCTHA, was 1 of 4 People to receive this prestigious Certification. On hand to witness this event was Vice-President Joe Fox Jr, NCTHA Board Chairman Claude Leedom and Executive Director, Lafe Haugen. (more…)

Homebuyer Education Class

SBC Taking Applications for 2nd Phase

The Shoulder Blade Complex is being completely renovated and is being done in two phases. The first phase of 18 apartments has been completed and leased. The second phase will be completed in July 2010, only weeks away. We are taking applications for the waiting list for residents to lease the next 16 apartments. There are one and two bedroom apartments and will be leased out on a first come first served basis. So please contact housing for your application and get it back to Palmeda Fisher right away. If you have questions or would like to see an apartment please call and Ernie, Fern, or Palmeda will help you out. All the current resi-dents are very happy with their new apartment.

Cheyenne Family Wins Big at Handgame

Congratulations to the Fisher family.

They Traveled to the 18th Annual Shoshone-Bannock Handgame Trounament in For Hall, Idaho during the Memorial day Weekend. Though they did not ploace in the big tournament on May 29, which consisted of 76 teams and was double elimination.

They did enter the three man, single elimination tourna-ment held on May 30th which consisted of 78 registered teams, placing second. The Fisher family is Cowboy, his wife Phyllis and Coyoz won a total of $4,300 and each got a Pendleton drum bag with a matching case to put handgame sticks in. They were grateful to Northern Cheyenne Housing Authority for the cost-share to this tournament.
