The Northern Cheyenne Tribal Housing Authority (N.C.T.H. A.) is now accepting LABOR BIDS for residential Roof Replacements. This work will take place on 5 homes located at Crazy Head Heights Sub-division of the Lame Deer, Montana area. Bid Packets must be picked up prior to submitting bids. Bid Packets can be picked up at N.C.T.H.A office, Contact Colleen Spang, Acquisitions Division Manager / Terri Jo Whiteman, Acquisitions Technician.
The Northern Cheyenne Tribal Housing Authority will provide all the materials necessary to complete each Roof. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and tools associated to complete the work on this contract(s). Interested contractors must abide by the NCTHA Housing Quality Standards when purchasing the materials for this job. The contract work is to be completed within 30 days of the Notice To Proceed. The scope of work includes the installation of a new Steel roof, complete with metal fascia, gable trim, roof cap, vents and other metal trim on all units as requested by the N.C.T.H.A. This bid should include (but is not limited to) the following:
• Labor – Removal of the existing roofing materials and roofing felt.
• Labor – Installation of Steel Roof with all related trim
• The Contractor shall install all related vented ridgecaps
• The Contractor shall be responsible for disposal of all construction related debris when work is completed and taken to a Certified Land Fill.
• NCTHA recommends that the contractor do a walkthrough the project to familiarize themself with

This project is located within the perimeters of the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. The work performed under this contract is subject to all T.E.R.O. fees and regulations. Information on this project can be obtained at the Housing Office. Please submit your bid per square, per house to the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Housing Authority to be stamped in on Thursday, May 18, 2010 before 10:00 a.m. AH bids must be hand delivered to the NCTHA office and marked PROJECT MT12-02 ROOFS BLOCK 2. Bid reviewing of the roof contract will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2010 at 10:00 am. Only responsive bids that have met all requirements will be considered. BID SECURITY, WORKMAN’S COMPENSATION AND INSURANCE. The Contractor shall furnish N.C.T.H.A. with Certificates of Insurance showing the following insurance is in force and will insure all
operations under the Contract Agreement at the time of Bid:
A. Workmen’s Compensation, in accordance with State or Territorial Laws.
B. Commercial General Liability insurance with a combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage of not less than $100,000.00.
C. Due to the efforts to promote small business, the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Housing Authority will be waiving all Bid Security requirements on this bid INDIAN PREFERENCE. The owner will factor Indian preference into the bid analysis process however it will in no case be the sole deciding factor in awarding the work. Evidence of eligibility for Indian preference must be submitted with the proposal. Responsible bids will be accepted from Non-Indian owned Contractors. This Advertisement for Bids does not commit the Housing Authority to award a contract nor to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of the bid(s) or to procure supplies. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to re-advertise according to the best interests of the Housing Authority. The Northern Cheyenne Tribal Housing Authority reserves the right to waive any irregularities and informalities in regard to bids and the bid process.
